Take your pictures. Get out there and take your pictures. You can do this with a regular film camera or a digital camera. Regular film cameras will take some additional work, but it is still workable.
Download your pictures. If you have a digital camera, download your pictures on to your computer as usual. If you have never down loaded photos, connect your camera to your computer and follow the on screen prompts. If you used a film camera, take your photos to be developed. Request your photos include a CD of the prints. Insert the CD into your computer and download the images. Most photo CDs will also have prompts for you to follow making it easy to download.
Open an account with a photo album service like Photobucket or Snapfish. There are many services like this online. Many are free, but make sure to read the terms of service before creating an account. Some services have free limited programs, and you can pay for additional services. Carefully look at the different services, what they have to offer and the over all costs before making a final decision.
Upload your photos. Once your account is open, go to the upload screen. You should be able to browse the photos on your computer and select the ones you want to upload. If you have several ones to upload, see if the service you are using has a bulk or mass upload option. Once you have selected your photos, upload them into the server.
Pick your photo. Once your photos are uploaded, you should be able to see them in your online photo album. Depending on your service the URL for the photos may be under the photo in the album. Other albums will have you click on the photo, and then the URL is visible. For there you can highlight the URL and copy and paste. Some sites will have multiple options of URLs and coding dependent upon what you need. If you need it for a blog or an email, or even if you just need a thumbnail, all the work should have been done for you.
