How to Remove Wrinkles From a Framed Picture ~ Enhance Photography Skill

Now that digital photo editing software has become more accessible, you may wish to perform digital makeovers on the photos you have in your home. Wrinkle removal is one of the more popular photo editing techniques. Unfortunately, there is no way to directly remove wrinkles from a photo that is already printed and framed. However, it is possible to convert a photo to a digital image and edit it from there.

Instructions

Remove the photo from the frame and scan it into your computer. Open the photo in your editing software.

Select the clone or rubber stamp tool. Set the opacity to approximately 70 percent. If you wish to only soften wrinkles and not remove them, you can set it to a lower opacity.

Find an area of skin on your subject that is even and smooth. Click on this area while holding down the Ctrl key. This will select it as your cloning point.

Click on the wrinkles you want to repair. This will place a copy of the cloned area over the wrinkle.

Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until you have cleared or softened the wrinkles from the area you are working on. Depending on the size of the area and the amount of coverage you are going for, it may take several clicks to get the results you want.

Print the wrinkle-free photo and re-frame it.
