How to Morph My Picture Into a Cartoon

Cartoons often represent the imaginary of people, places and things that an artist conjures up to create a fantasy-based story. However, some cartoons are based on real-life people places and things and as such, the goal is to have the cartoon images of people stand as actual representatives of the real people with similar features. An artist can create a cartoon rendering of a person, but with advances in technology, there are now quick and easy methods of morphing a picture into a cartoon that you can complete with relative ease.

Instructions

Selecting a Website and Photo

    1

Select a website with internal software that will morph your picture into a cartoon. Select the photo you wish to have morphed into a cartoon and upload it into the website's files. The photo will come up in its own window which will allow you to resize it and crop it, if desired.

    2

Press "Upload" after you have resized the photo and prepared it to your satisfaction. Make any desired final edits to the photo after it has been converted to a cartoon.

    3

Select an emotion for the cartoon photo using the website's software. For example, scroll through the emotions that range from smiling to sad, angry to excited and from a wink to offended.

    4

Choose the shape of the cartoon's head. Some websites also will allow you to make alterations in hair, including length and color.

    5

Open the picture to be morphed in the Photoshop program as an alternative to the above steps. Blur the picture using the Gaussian Blur tool, then duplicate the blurred layer. Use the Halftone Pattern filter and invert the new layer. Apply the Stamp filter and blur that layer. Blend the layers and adjust them to your desired levels.

    6

Save the photo that has been morphed into a cartoon to upload into your social-media profile or for your private use on your personal computer.
