A picture tells a story, and your feelings will shine through. Do what it takes to build your confidence on the day of the photo shoot. 2Wear flattering clothes. Clothing greatly affects how you will look in a photo. Choose clothes that flatter your figure and your complexion. Consider clothing that complements your eye, skin and hair color.
3Draw attention to your assets. If you have great teeth, smile big for the camera. If you have lovely arms, wear something that shows those arms.
4Position your body in a flattering position. Turn your body at a slight angle to the camera, and bring one leg a bit in front of the other. This position has a slimming effect. Practice this position in front of a mirror so it looks natural when you pose for pictures.
5Stand or sit up straight for photos. Good posture will make you look much better in photos. Avoid slouching or hunching in any way.
6Lift your chin slightly to avoid a double chin. If you tilt your chin down for photos, it creates the appearance of a double chin. Yes, it does this even if you are slim.
7Maintain eye contact with the camera. This will always make for a better photo as it shows confidence and charisma.
8Practice posing for photos in front of a mirror, or have a friend with a digital camera take a wide range of photos of you. The more time you spend in front of the camera, the more comfortable you feel.
