Create a Shutterfly account by clicking "Sign up" at the top of the homepage at shutterfly.com. If you already have an account, log in to your account on the homepage.
2Click the "Store" tab and then click on "Photo Books" at the top middle of the page.
3Select a size for your book. The choices are 5-by-7, 7-by-9, 8-by-8, 8-by-11 and 12-by-12 inches. Click the size you want.
4Click the "Get started button" to start creating your book.
5Give your photo book a name and then click the "Save" button.
6Click the "Styles" tab to select a theme for your book. Click on "Next" at the top right of the page once you have selected the theme.
7Click the "Get Pictures" button in the center of the page to upload photos to your account. Shutterfly recommends starting with 30-50 pictures.
8Choose which pictures you want to go in your book on the "Collect pictures" page. Once you have decided on all the pictures for your book, click "Add to Photo book."
9Select a photo template for each page of your book as you start designing. Drag and drop pictures into the photo boxes on each page.
10Choose the background and photo edges for each page in your photo book.
11Edit all the photos for "red" eye and any other corrections as you place them in the book.
12Add text in the text boxes next to the photos if you want captions to accompany your pictures.
13Click next at the top right of the page once the pages are finished.
14Design the cover of your photo book by selecting a photo and typing in the text for the cover and spine.
15Proof all the photos and captions in your book to ascertain everything is correct.
16Click "Order" at the top right of the page. Enter your billing and shipping address and payment method. Click "Place my order now" on the checkout page. You will receive your photo book in about a week.
