How to Remove Lens Blur

Quite often, when taking photos, something will happen to the photo in the process of capturing the picture. This can be a number of things, but one of the most common is blurring of the picture caused by the camera moving slightly while the shutter is open, or the subject moving when the picture is being taken. Either way, with computers and Photoshop available it is relatively easy to edit your photos, removing any blurring after they've been taken.

Instructions

Upload your photos to your computer if you haven't already.

Purchase or download the free trial of Adobe Photoshop CS5. Install and run Photoshop on your computer.

Upload the photo(s) with lens blur to Photoshop. Open the photo you wish to remove lens blur from in Photoshop.

Go to "Filter" on the Photoshop screen, then "Sharpen" and click on the "Smart Sharpen" tab. Click on the "Removal" drop-down list to the bottom-right of the "Smart Sharpen" screen. Select "Lens Blur" from the drop-down list.
