How to Upload Photos to Multiple Sites

People that want to share digital pictures on multiple websites can save the time spent uploading picture files to each website by using a virtual distribution server. Virtual distribution servers allow users to upload digital content into a data storage cloud with syndication to distribute to multiple channels. Virtual distribution servers use a technology that allows users to upload picture files once, and distribute the files to microstock agencies, portfolio websites, public galleries, social networking sites and other channels.

    Create accounts on all the websites that you want to upload pictures to. Record the login and password information for each account.

    Sign up with a virtual distribution server that uploads to multiple photography websites. Verify that the server supports most or all of the websites you want to upload to. Virtual distribution servers usually require purchasing a subscription service, but some offer limited free versions of the service

    Configure your account settings with the virtual distribution server by specifying the websites that you want to post pictures on, and entering the login and password credentials for each website. Some services allow you to create new accounts with websites that you do not already have an accounts with during the configuration process.

    Format your pictures with photo editing software such as Photoshop Elements or Preview (for Macintosh). Format each picture to meet the file type and image size requirements for the websites that you intend to distribute pictures to; and format each picture to meet the file type and image size requirements for the virtual distribution server.

    Upload your pictures to the virtual distribution server with the software, online application, or file transfer protocol instructions that the virtual distribution server specifies. Check the server's website for picture uploading tutorials.

    Distribute your pictures to the sites that you want to post them on. Select the pictures and the sites that you want to post pictures on with the software or website provided by the virtual distribution server.
