Open your picture editing program by selecting a picture in your picture folder located on your computer. Select the desired picture you wish to change from color to black and white by double-clicking on the thumbnail photo or clicking once on the file name. The picture editing program will automatically open up into a separate screen with your selected picture in the program. Click on the selection "Fix" or "Edit" to edit the photo chosen.
2Edit the photo by selecting "Adjust Color." The options to adjust color appear as three selections, color temperature, tint and saturation. The three options are considered to help enhance the color features of your photo.
3Select the third option, "Saturation," also known as the grayscale, to change the color feature of the photo. Move the direction of the saturation downward by selecting the "Minus Sign" to take away the saturation of color from the image.
4Save the picture with the desired black and white enhancements by selecting "File" and "Save As." Type in the new name for the image you have enhanced and save it to your computer.
5Print the enhanced photo by selecting the "Print" option in your program. You do not need to make any changes on the printer preferences because the color has already been selected and saved in your photo editing program.
