Photographers classically tone black and white prints with commercial, chemical toners, which quickly dye prints to a sepia shade. Brush frisket over your photo's border using a paintbrush if you want it to stay white. Let frisket dry. This step is optional.
2Fill photo tray with fresh water. Using the tongs, submerge your photo in the water to open up the photo paper's fibers; this will better absorb the wine. Let the photo sit for 2-10 minutes.
3Pour a bottle of red wine into another photo tray. Transfer the photo from the water to the wine using the tongs. Check the print every couple of minutes until it is toned to your liking.
4Remove photo using tongs.Hang on a clothesline to dry.
