Everyone loves a good gag, either for a birthday party or at the office. And one of the best gags is a fake "Wanted" poster with your victim's photo plastered in the middle. And the neat thing is that with the help of a graphics program like Photoshop, it's easy to make your own "Wanted" poster.

Instructions

    1

Choose the image you want to use and put it in your computer either by importing from a digital camera or by scanning in a photograph. Save it as a jpg named "wanted photo" to a folder named "wanted."

    2

Open Photoshop. Then go to "File" and click on "New Document." Make the size "standard US paper size" and name the file "wanted poster 1."

    3

Open "wanted photo" and click "Select All." Then go to "Edit" and click "Copy." Now "Paste" the photo into "wanted poster 1." Go to "Edit," "Transform," and select "Scale" to resize the photo to fit the canvas. You want the photo to take up a small area at the center of the canvas, because you need to have room for text above and below.

    4

Go to the "Text" tool and select a Western looking font such as "Rosewood Std." Now type in your text layers. You will want two separate layers. The first one will be for the word "Wanted," which should be placed above the photo. The font should be large. The second text layer goes below the photo and contains the humorous information about the subject and his "crimes" and the reward offered. The font here should be smaller. Save your work.

    5

Go to "Layers" and click on "Merge Down" several times to flatten the image. Now save this as "wanted poster 2."

    6

Create a sepia tone effect by first going to "Image," then "Layer," and click on "Desaturate." Then go to "Layer," then "New Adjustment Layer," and click on "Photo Filter." In the first box that opens, make the Color "None," the Mode "Normal," and the Opacity 100. In the second box, make the Filter "Sepia," the Density 50 percent, and click on "Preserve Luminosity." Now just print out your wanted poster.
