The Pocket Wizard line of wireless transmitters and receivers is a reliable tool for most photography professionals. Novatron strobes are not immediately compatible with the Pocket Wizard receivers, However, with an HH-Flash Sync to Mini Plug adapter, you can easily hook up your Pocket Wizard wireless receiver to your Novatron strobes for simple wireless flash triggering via the Pocket Wizard wireless transmitter mounted to your hot-shoe or through another adapter to your camera.

Unpack your Novatron strobes. Adjust the height of your light stand. Mount the Novatron strobe onto your light stand. Plug the HH-Flash Synch Connector to Mini Plug adapter into the Novatron strobe. The plug in port should be located on the back end of the strobe.
2Plug the mini plug side of the HH-Flash Synch Connector to Mini Plug adapter into the Pocket Wizard receiver. Turn on the Novatron strobe. Adjust the channel on the Pocket Wizard receiver. Set the Pocket Wizard transmitter to match the same channel as the Pocket Wizard receiver. Turn on the Pocket Wizard transmitter.
3Press the "test" button on the Pocket Wizard transmitter to test the strobe. The Novatron strobe should fire when you press the "test" button. If it does not, then check that the Pocket Wizard transmitter and receiver are set to the same channel. Check the batteries in both the Pocket Wizard transmitter and receiver. If your Novatron strobe operates on a battery pack check that it is charged. If your Novatron strobe is powered by a plug in power supply then check to make sure that the power supply is plugged in and powered on.
4Slide the Pocket Wizard transmitter into the hot shoe of your camera, or connect it your the appropriate PC-Synch port on your camera via a Mini-Plug-PC-Synch adapter. Turn on your camera. Adjust your ISO, aperture and shutter speed for a proper exposure. Press the shutter. The Novatron strobe should flash your subject. If you are using a digital camera then check the picture and adjust light levels and exposure accordingly.
